About us

We are a small, dedicated team building sensors that help farmers understand what their trees need. We want to build and nurture a strong relationship with our customers.

Why we started

BioT started with a plan to build affordable, low-cost precision equipment for forestry. We soon saw how valuable the same approach is in agriculture.

Sensors that tell a farmer directly what a tree needs, and how it responds to its environment, are a practical way to help. That is what we now focus on.

Starting with real-world applications

The TreeKiT is installed across a commercial coffee plantation in Africa. Trees are grouped by irrigation pivot, so agronomists can compare how each zone responds to water instead of only recording how much water it was given. We are continuously refining our approach based on the data collected. We can clearly see the heartbeat of the trees in this location and directly observe the effects of intentional drought stress and irrigation.
